Microshading montreal
Unlike microblading, microshading does not tattoo full strokes along the browline, but rather small points to “shade” in sparse areas. Instead of creating the illusion of individual hairs, microshading fills in the entire brow with light pigmentation through the use of a fine tipped needle.
Microshading is great for oily skin, if that is your case then we highly suggest microshading instead of microblading.
The results will not appear to be individual eyebrow hairs, but rather a shading that more closely resembles penciling or powdering your brows with makeup.
That’s why getting microshading at Reimagine Clinic can be a life changing moment – eyebrow tattooing can put an end to this vicious cycle and liberate you from the chains of imperfect brows!
When it comes to performing eyebrow microshading, the difference in skills, experience, and artistry between individuals could be very wide and so are the results and the cost of the procedure. The truth is not all microshaders are created equally so even though there are thousands of people performing it across Canada, the way it is done by the Reimagine clinic artists that perform it is unlike any other in the industry.

we’re here to answer all your questions
Microshading is a brow treatment where a brow technician uses a very fine pen to make individual tattoo marks that resemble tiny dots onto the brows.
Nothing happens to your natural eyebrows as they are untouched by the microshading. It is important to keep most of your natural hair as much as possible to maintain a natural aesthetic.
It can, depending on each person’s reception of anesthesia. However, most permanent makeup studios, including ours, provide ample numbing in order to provide clients with a painless experience.
Keep your skin exfoliated and moisturized! It’s also best not to drink or take blood-thinning medications/supplements prior to microshading as this will cause an increased level of bleeding throughout the procedure. Coming in with makeup is optional but not recommended as you will be restricted from getting water on the procedural area for the first 24hrs.
Microshading typically lasts up to about 1-2 years, depending on the skin type and lifestyle of the recipient. If you lead a more active lifestyle, such as regular workouts and sports that cause heavy sweating, you will experience shorter lived results.
Microshading is generally safe, but complications can occur.
This procedure implants ink on the upper dermal layer of skin. There’s the risk of injury if the needle goes beyond this layer of skin.
You may also have some skin irritation symptoms after the procedure, such as:
- itchiness
- swelling
- redness
Microshading comes with a number of potential brow benefits:
- Lasts longer than microblading
- Ideal for sensitive, oily skin types
- Gives the appearance of fuller brows
- Helps with eyebrow symmetry
But it’s especially effective for those with oily skin, as this skin type may not do well with semi-permanent tattoos. Then there’s the ouch-factor. For people with sensitive skin, microblading drags a blade across your brows and it is similar to paper cuts. That dragging motion can be more painful if you have sensitive skin.
Avoid getting your skin wet for at least 24 hours post-procedure, including in the shower. Since you won’t be able to cleanse your skin, it’s best to avoid makeup to reduce the risk of getting the area wet. Also, avoid any activity that could cause excessive sweating or moisture—that means skipping your morning hot yoga class. You’ll want to care for the brows with anti-bacterial ointment right after you get them done for the first 24 hours, and then use a light moisturizer. Also, avoid chemical peels afterwards, as well as itching or picking at them—you should treat them like a body tattoo.
